DISTRICT UPDATES
REFERENDUM UPDATE
At their December meeting, the Board of Education unanimously approved ballot language
to place a referendum on the March 17, 2020 ballot. This decision asks our community to
consider a ZERO TAX RATE CHANGE that would allow the District to reallocate funds that
have been used, until now, to pay the bond on Lotus to address other immediate
priorities since the bond will be paid in full in the near future.

important effort. This is a great opportunity for our District, so please reach out if you have
any questions or need more information.

other mailbox in the D114 attendance ares. This issue highlights how our students and staff give back to the community and also spotlights our
Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (BPAC). Please also be sure to read the center section
for more information on the referendum and how this is way to help us meet many pressing
needs for our District. The newsletter will also be posted on our website, so feel free to
direct others to it, too!

Just a reminder that school will NOT be in session on February 14--we have a District
Institute Day full of learning for our staff. We will also be closed on Monday, February 17 in honor of Presidents Day.

Please be sure to visit our website to stay current on winter weather processes. I'd love to
say that we WON'T need to use these...but chances are good that we will. Remember, we've added a DELAYED START SCHEDULE for this year, so take a peek at what those bus pick up times will be when/if we run a delayed start.

Tim will perform at the PBIS Assembly on Tuesday February 25 and will also put on a FAMILY SHOW the evening of 2/25 at 6:00 at Lotus. The show in the evening is for all ages.
